Dr. Michael Cabell serves as the Assistant to the Executive Director at the Kentucky Baptist Convention.

Prior to joining the convention, he pastored for nearly 15 years at Versailles Baptist Church. In 2021, Michael and Versailles Baptist were awarded the KBC’s inaugural Church Revitalization Award after experiencing strong church growth.

Michael has a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of the Cumberlands, Master of Divinity in Evangelism from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Ministry in Preaching from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Michael is currently pursuing an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Harvard University.

Michael founded 180 Degree Ministries and traveled full-time for several years as a Youth Evangelist while leading revivals in 22 states. He directed the Mission:180 Summer Mission Camps that lead hundreds of youth on mission trips to Mexico, Poland, Houston, and Atlanta. Michael has personally led over 1,000 people on mission trips to Mexico. Additionally, Michael served as a Campus Minister at Vincennes University in Indiana.

Michael’s wife Carrie has been a constant ministry companion and wonderful spouse. They have three teenage children and reside in Versailles, KY. Michael is a licensed private pilot and avid hiker that has a deep love for our National Parks.
